DESCRIPTION: The project consists of two architecturally distinct, but integrated buildings separated by a publicly accessible courtyard mid-block. On the southern side of the site, the “O Building” is organized around a central courtyard and features a dramatic two-story “porthole” opening in the front façade, while on the northern side of the site, the “M Building” is organized around a series of private, landscaped courtyards that open onto Indiana Street.

LOCATION: 469 Stevenson Street (SOMA, San Francisco)

DESCRIPTION: 469 Stevenson is currently the service parking lot for Nordstrom. BUILD is just beginning the process of getting to know the neighborhood and understand the potential to transform this surface parking lot into thoughtful homes for San Franciscans.

We have submitted a Preliminary Planning Application with design concepts from architect Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) that include 467 homes with a range of unit types in a single, 28-story tower. We welcome feedback and input from neighbors and other interested community members.

LOCATION: 2741 16th Street (Mission neighborhood, San Francisco)

DESCRIPTION: The Daziel Building is a 20,000-square-foot, 2.5-story commercial building constructed in 1950. The property spans an entire city block, with the building facing 16th Street and a 62-space surface parking lot opening onto 17th Street. The project includes improving and re-leasing the site.
